What an old bike :huh I don't know what to say. Clean the air filter, change the fuel, and cross your fingers.

done all that, i have tried pop starting it i have tried puting starting fluid in it, cleening the points, new plug, new gas. I had the same old pos bike once before and had the same problem, i just want to get it runing so i can sell it.

- Are you mixing the fuel correctly?
- Possible leak in the engine? (gaskets maybe?)

I dunno, man. I had an 82 KE100, it ran fine for awhile, then would act up and not start for awhile, leave it for a couple days, and it would run fine. Sometimes I sprayed WD40 in the top end and stuck a BBQ lighter in it so it would burn all the crap in the top end, and would usually start up after. The biggest problem I had was that if my ignition/coil got wet (riding in the rain) it would cut out! It sucks goin down a trail and it starts to rain and the engine starts to spitter and sputter and you're just like oh chit not again :grr: I never enjoyed long walks home in the summer heat.

Maybe it's flooded. That's always a problem on old toys.

have you read the voltage in the system? you could be getting a really weak spark.

No i have not done that, would you be able to tell me how to go about doing that?

this idea goes along with the WD-40 idea...don't know if i would recommend doing it or not though... before i sold my 81 yz465, it would flood itself after one kick...so i would take the plug out, kick it over to get all of the gas out of the cylinder, and heat the plug up with a propane torch. then i would pour about a bottlecap full of fuel right into the cylinder:eek2: take that warm plug, screw it in, and 9 times out of 10, it'd fire right up. probly not good for the rings, but it was just an old beater. if your not worried about blowing anything, give it a try:D

no i dont really care about the thing, i think ill give that a try too, i have done something very similar to that with other machines, i would heat the plug up with a torch and then put the torch with just the propane comeing out in the end of the carb and then kick it over.

crank seals gone bad?? I believe a leakdown test would reviel if that's the problem. Or, just replace them--on a bike that old it's prolly a good idea anyway.

Can you even get parts for it though??
