can someone tell me HOW to adjust the front shocks? where is the adjusting thing at? what do i have to use to adjust it with? do i have to take them off?

a picture would help alot

you don't have to take thom off. At the bottom of the shock ther is a notched adjuster with a little hole on each side. You need to put a screw driver in one of the holes and turn it to adjust the pre-load. That's the only adjustment on the 400EX shocks unless you have aftermarket suspension.

if you can get your hands on a hook spanner, you will be better off than a screwdriver.

I used a large pair of channel locks. It was easy.
