Located in Englishtown, NJ...Raceway Park is a dream come true for any motorhead. With two motocross tracks, dragstrip, go-kart track, road coarse and who knows what else they have up their sleeves. Raceway Park will also be the last stop for the WPSA tour. The tour will arrive in New Jersey the weekend of August 19-20.

November 12, 2006...Raceway Park will hold their 3rd annual Fall Classic QUAD only race. A great day of racing today and being treated great by all employees, has insured my desire to get back to the track as soon as I can.

The professionalism of today's race made it feel more like a national than a local race. Many riders made the haul from their homes to race at today's event. With a weekend off, Yamaha's Pat Brown #199 and Travis Spader #30 showed thier dedication to improving their skills by spending their weekend off at the race track.

Dirt Rocks came out today to show off their products to the D-6 quad riders.

Tony Lucarelli #41 rolled in this weekend sporting his new Hellbound graphics.

tamehart

After taking a nasty spill at the Flying Dutchmen, Tom Fink #133 apprantely used his week of healing up to clean up his truck. Although he was still feeling the aftermath from last week, Fink showed no sign of pain when taming the Raceway Park track.

After the playing of the national anthem, a fresh groomed and watered track was ready to take on those crazy quad riders.

tamehart

Cameron Massaro #312 is a favorite rider to many with his smooth riding style and ability to throw out some sick freestyle tricks. This year, Cameron is putting his Lonestar product 450r out front. Massaro has hit the first 3 WPSA events and plans on finishing out the remaining events of the tour.

tamehart

The track is a mix of loomy sand corners, large and small berm corners, and a mix of jumps. A long holeshot straightaway followed by a hairpin corner tested the ability of all riders to work together to allow for a safe start. A few pile ups throughout the day held up many riders causing frustration for many, but thankfully no injuries.

TIME TO GO RACING

Lacking results, I am just going to post some pictures from today's race.

Mike #218 has been working hard on his skills this spring. Without some misfortunes, he has been a top runner in the B class.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:00 PM
Andrew #9m put in a great run this weekend as he led his class from start to finish in both motos.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:05 PM
Drew #154 recently switched to yellow from his Honda 450r. The switch has stepped up his game and has been putting in some credible finishes. This weekend he took second overall in the C class.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:07 PM
Another shot of Drew

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:12 PM
Andy Zimmerman #333 never let off as he entered the corner from the straightaway.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:14 PM
By the end of the weekend, Andy was one of the only riders in the B class to conquer all the jumps that Raceway Park had to offer.

tamehart

Josh #88 takes flight over the large double aboard his East Coast Atv YFZ

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:19 PM
Josh has been a consistent contender this year in the A-class.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:23 PM
Riding another East Coast ATV YFZ is Tom Fink #133. Tom is a top A rider and a serious threat to any A class rider.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:24 PM
Another of Fink with plenty of room between his quad and the ground.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:27 PM
Tony #41 is another top A class rider.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:28 PM
#41 and #121

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:36 PM

Pat Brown showed up to tear up some dirt. In the end, the dirt ended up cutting his day short when he came up a little short on the tripple and snapped his axle.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 05:58 PM
Brown was the first of the day to hit the tripple and did it with ease

tamehart
06-12-2006, 06:00 PM
I have way to many of these pictures from just this year

tamehart
06-12-2006, 06:02 PM
Travis Spader was out dialing in a new set up. Spader looked good all day long. He put in some impressive lap times.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 06:04 PM
Travis was sometimes was going to fast for the track. He handled the mishap like nothing happened and never let off the throttle.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 06:14 PM
I asked spader if he could show me how to hit a jump I was scared of. He told me where to stand and told me to watch what he did.....from what gathered...you just hold it wide open and look down.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 06:18 PM
Spader was consistent all day long.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 06:20 PM
While it lasted, Spader and Brown really went at it

tamehart
06-12-2006, 06:22 PM

#422 and Austin Moser #87 battled hard throughout the first couple laps, until Moser was able to pull away and walk away with the win.

tamehart
06-12-2006, 06:42 PM
Moser sits in 11th place in the Youth Production class of the ATVA national series. His national skills show as he is able to throw his quad around in the air with ease.

tamehart

The Spring Classic offered a 2-stroke only class that brought out a few riders. These riders showed that the 2-stroke is surley not dead and can put down some fast lap times

Many national riders used their weekend off to gain some seat time. #39 Silfies put in some good laps

tamehart
06-12-2006, 07:23 PM
Mike Brown was the 3rd and only rider to sign up for the pro class besides the two factory yamaha riders. Brown put in some impressive laps

tamehart
06-12-2006, 07:25 PM
Brown gave me something to work with on the way up the second set-up

tamehart

Quad competition is getting closer and closer. Soon we are going to need camera snapshots to tell who snagged the holeshot.
