Dumb finals

Guys, i have finals next week, lets say you have a 72 average, and you fail the final, will you fail the class? Teachers said its 20% of the grade. Alot of people told me that it will just ballance out. Im SOOO nervous. If i fail. Im in big troble with my parents :uhoh:

had the SAME thing happen this yr in my algebra2 class. thought i bombed the final, was bitin my fingernails the first 2 weeks of summer break till i got my report card..i was thinkin the test kicked my a** but i pulled a 83 on the final and a 78 in the class. what a way to start summer break.

you might fail if you completly bombed the final but if it is a high F or D i think you will be fine, but i not certian

Dont worry about it to much!!!! I had a 68% in my geometry class before I took my final and I had to get my grade up to a 70 % and I got it there with only like an 67% or somewhere around that and I ended up with an 72 % in the class. You shouldnt have anything to worry about. Because the week before my finals I wasnt at school thursday and friday b/c of a wedding then when I got back after memorial day I got sick that tuesday and had to leave school after my second period( I only have 4) On wednesday I didnt go to school due to being sick. On that thursday was my first two finals so I had to go to school then that night I had to make up all my work and study for my geometry final I was so stressed but then I went to school the next day and took the final and I did good enough to get me through the class and I never have to go back!!!

But any way GOOD LUCK!!!!!

anything over a 50% is passing. as long as you know half...lol


jk. just dont worry too much. i have my finals tomorrow. i just made notes on a piece of paper of everything really important and everything you think you'll forget

thats what i did with my chemistry...reread my notes and made new notes

i just wing it, u know dont study and dont worry, it really helps alot for me and i alwasy pass my classes. i have like 70 the whole year take the final and still alwasy pass

100% of the final is 20% of the grade. If you are getting 70%, it goes like this: Seventy percent times 4 is two hundred and eighty. If you get 50% on your final that would be three hundred and thirty. Divide by five and you get 66%. If you get zero on your final you only get 56%. Hope you can get at least 50 %. Good luck. :D

Haha I was doing the exact same thing my last week of school...."If I get blah blah what will my grade be?"....I got a 45% on my spanish final and it was 10% of my grade and my final grade only dropped one percent....dont know how that works but I wont argue:D

lol i do that all the time with my GPA.. if i get a C and an A that equals 2 B's... and that every grade is worth 1 point in the 4.0.
A=1
B=.75
C=.5
D=.25
F=0

but now everything is messed up cuz ill be getting 5 grades. im hoping for a 3.25 or better

I think how they add up avreages for the semester... is they take your quarter grade from 3rd and multiply it by 2, and do the same with the 4th, then take the grade from the exam and add that on... and divide it by 5. Thats what they do in ohio! lol

If I can write a 1500 word essay on euthanasia I may just pass grade twelve canadian law. I have three exams, and If I don't pass my four classes, I'm being kicked out of my house, so, I'm scramblin'. Study hard. To all those who think if you study high/take test high/get high scores...Come back to reality :p Take all your exams/finals sober, and maybe eat some fruit in the morning for some brain food!

Grading scale in california is
A= 4
B=3
C=2
D=1
F=0

add up your grades and divide by the number of classes you have and thatws how you get your GPA.

say you have 6 classes and you get an A, C, B, D, A, and B.
A=4
C=2
B=3
D=1
A=4
B=3
Total is 17,
divide total (17) by amount of classes (6) and you get a 2.8 gpa.

a 72 average in my school was a failing grade...

72!! I think 70 is the highest mark I've achieve in highschool. In canada, the failing grade is 49%. If you have a 49, the teacher can bump up your mark if they are forgiving, which happened twice last year :eek2:

69 is failiong where i go to school. well im off to studying now. thank god i get out friday.

i was a little off...72 is the lowest d...but i have not been in school for 15 years. my brother graduated 5 years ago and had the same scale so...

b-86-92
c-78-85
d-72-77
f-71 and lower...
