Carbs for 400ex??????

I was told that i could take a flatslide FCR carb out of some of the newer motocross bikes... what is your opinions or is there a better mod to do??

i dont know how similar any of the motorcross bike carbs are to the TRX450 carb but the trx carb will work with little mods to the boots

The 04'/05' TRX450R carb is not an FCR but is still a good upgrade and far cheaper than an FCR. The 06' TRX450R carb is an FCR.

I believe most any FCR can be made to work on a 400EX. The easiest route to an FCR is to get one that is allready setup for the 400EX. Sudco sells kits. I think Curtis Sparks sells them too (although they probably just get them from Sudco).

Sudco may also be able to provide the intake boots, throttle cables, etc. needed to convert a dirt bike FCR for use on a 400EX. That would make things simpler. Sudco's website isn't much to look at but their catalog is comprehensive and available for download.
