I have no clue what i am doing wrong. I have my axle carrier out of my rear end, and i need to the replace the bearings and seals. I got the black seals that hold the bearings in out by cutting them. and then i tried to bang them out with a hammer and they moved a little bit but now they wont budge... what do i do? lol

-thanks

stick the entire carrier in the oven at 300 degrees and bake it for 20 minutes, the aluminum housing will expand faster than the bearings themselves, then just shake them out.

when you are ready to install the new bearings, freeze the bearing in the freezer, and re-heat the housing, then press them in.

the whole process should take you less than 1 hr. Good luck! :macho
