Sparta, KY - After the mudfest of 2004, which forced the cancellation of the bike race on Sunday, there was a Sparta II later in the year, but the location was removed from the schedule in 2005 due to a schedule conflict with the nearby car racetrack.

The Spartan is back for 2006, and with a huge group of Kentucky racers, the parking area quickly began to fill up.

I also will be racing this weekend on a Polaris Predator and Jeff Stoess will join me on Polaris Outlaw, so we headed over to John Gallagher to help us prepare are machines for the race.

Admin

After installing some updates on the Outlaw, it was time for Jeff to install a twist throttle, and it was time to head out and snap some quick photos before tomorrows race.

Admin

Jeff Stoess geared up in some Polaris riding gear and we headed out from some photos, and he would get a few minutes of seat time before the race.

Admin

Jeff looked extremely comfortable on the Outlaw in stock trim, and he hasn't rode since an ATV since November, so it will be interesting to see how he does tomorrrow.

Admin
06-09-2006, 10:04 PM
I will be racing the Polaris Predator Troy Lee Version along side of Jeff in the Morning Race as we will both be racing the Sportsman Class.

As the sun began to go down, it was time for many to setup their tents for a night under the stars before tomorrows race, which might be a little muddy. The forecast is for a chance for rain showers and temperatures in the 60's.

That's right and their not eligible for season points. Jeff will be doing a report on what racing was like on the Polaris Outlaw.

Why did they only do 3 laps? It looks like they were doing 30 min laps.

Johnny & Monica
06-10-2006, 11:10 AM
The laps times were just over 30 minutes I think that's why it was cut down. I seem to remember hearing lap times around 34 minutes. Traci even said she wished they would have been able to do a fourth lap as the track was getting faster each lap.

Sorry I don't have anything to add about any more results right now. I'm sure Harlen will post them asap.

Broc,
Last I heard Kim was running in 8th place in the women's class. Chris Burrows is racing Michael's quad at Waukon not the GNCC. Nothing else about Duane, last I knew he was in fifth but then he just dropped off and I'm not sure what happened.

Again, this just shows what kind of season he's having. Many bad things. Well he ussally does very well at the Wisp, so hopefully nothing will go bad for him.:)
