Wouldn't you know it. My LTR is in for the frame recall. I'm hoping it's done by noon tomorrow.

Thanks goes out to Matt at Bare Performance for signing up to be a Distributor for this item. You won't find a cheaper place to buy it anywhere on the net either.

Thanks Matt!

Just a heads up. I did not notice this but I need a couple more things to make this particular kit work.

I didn't do enough research. I thought the $589 kit had everything I needed. There are 2 items this kit does not have. The RPM Converter cable and the inductive pickup cable shown below are what's needed. Looks like I'll be spending a little more money ($120). Get ready Matt! Of course I might be able to find the inductive pickup locally.

Oh yea, this thing is SWEET! I can't wait to start tuning this thing. I'm pretty sure it's rich at least at 1/4 throttle and this will confirm or deny my suspicion.

armoks,

What procedure do you use to tune yours?

I was planning on a 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and a Full throttle run in 4th and 5th gear to log everything and then start making adjustments.

Also where is the best place to weld the bung? I'm thinking about 3/4 the way back on the pipe near the rear fender. In my case with the center mounted exhaust it would be right near the filter underneath the seat.

I do all my adjustments after getting a reading from doing a 300 ft run up my driveway in 3-4th gear. the 3rd gear on this is about right to get a good reading the whole way through the RPM range. I did this with my dales and it worked out great.

for the bung I just got it done today at my buddies muffler shop. I put it about 5-6 inches before the muffler but on the outside towards the tire so that when I do the readings the cable comes right up and around to my backpack I throw the AFR meter into.

Sounds good. I was looking at using a backpack also.

Thanks!

yep, This power commander is pretty neet. it sucks that you can't change the ignition settings along with the fuel in the maps. But thier version of the cherry bomb does give a little more then the yosh one. can't wait to see what the AFR is and what adjustments I need to do in the maps.

Nope! No kick back here brother.

I'm the type of person that won't promote anything I don't fully believe in and I have absolutely no affiliation with Bare Perfromance. He's just a great guy giving good customer service and good prices.

I've done a lot of looking around and in my opinion the LM01 is one of the best setups for tuning FI. Once I get the two other cables I need I'll be set.

I"m a small business owner myself ( I own a store that is part of a franchise) and when I find a reputable small business I'll promote him over the big guys any day, especially since like I said earilier that he has excellent customer serviceand great pricing. :D

Al, He has my LM-1:bandit:

It's true, the LM-1 Is the best out there IMO also theres soo much you can do with it, the nice thing is PC already found me the wire used for the throttle position, now I gotta find the RPM lead so I can get full accurate readings from the LM-1 to see where fuel is needed for the setup I'm useing.

Got it!

Yea, I'm pretty sure I know where to plug in the TPS lead. I'm going to look at the Yoshi PIM and see where the RPM lead is because I should be able to tap into that for the RPM. I dropped my bike back off at the dealer today to have them do the frame recall. When I get it back I'm removing the exhaust in order to have the bung welded. I'll have to wait until next month to get the other two cables I need because I just ordered a set of Douglas Yellow label 19" beadlocks and a set of 20" tires for the rear.

:D
