Can somebody post a pic of the hi flite seat with cover. Im debating on whether or not to get their foam which is 2 1/2 inches thicker.

Thanks,

Glamis

I'll be making custom seats in a few months if you guys want to hold on a bit and wait for the pictures. I will be doing the sample seats on my 400 and than doing a few samples on my friends banchee and 250R.

Ridered,

Is that just the cover or the hi flite foam as well? I can't seem to find anyone that has a pic of a 400ex with the thicker foam seat. I like the notion of more/softer padding but I'm not willing to feel "tippy" while riding.....due to the added height.

For what they charge for the thicker foam and cover, I better make sure I really need this....

Glamis400ex,

Go to the reviews section of this site and look under the prm six-pack rack review. I think there is a pic of a yellow 400ex with a hi-flite seat cover. It is the only one i have seen with the thicker seat. Hope this helps.

I think there is also a pic of two yellow 400's in the ride section with thicker seats on them but just all black seat covers.

Glamis = heaven on earth... very true, very true.

I finally got my Hi-Flite Seat put on my 400EX and I really like it. Mine is all black (I asked Hi-Flite to not even put their logo on it). It looks OK, but I got it for the comfort, not for the looks.

It ended up costing me a little more than what I originally thought, but that's because I wanted to keep the stock seat intact to use if I want to. The cover and foam were $140 shipped, the stock seat from Service Honda was $61 shipped, and I paid $40 to have the cover and foam stapled on. That brings the total cost to....$241...pretty expensive for a seat.

It does help my bad knee quite a bit as it sits me up a little and decreases the angle that my knee bends to. It is also a little easier to get up off of the seat when I need to for the same reason. The other thing I like is that it is A LOT softer for a long trail ride.
