I finally broke down and bought a new camera and a wide angle lens to add to what I already have.

The new gear made a perfect excuse to snap a few shots to test everything out...

This is my neighbor:devil:

I bought a D70s and a Nikkor 18-55mm wide angle lens. This camera body works very well with my flash unit, my D100 didnt even though it is a more expensive body.

I really like those pictures. Now you just have to venture up for a few more D-6 Races every now and then. But why is everything in the background blurring?

Pappy

The "Ghosting" you see is from a slower shutter speed, fast movement and the use of flash. There is t-storms rolling in and out and it got really dark in the woods.

We all know the only reason he got the new lense is because he wants more detailed shots of the neighbor.. :eek2:

Pappy, I take it that the atv's don't bother the horses. My new house is surrounded by horses and I figured that I would upset them if I rode in the yard. I don't want to make enemies in the few weeks that I have been there.

The horses came after we did so we really did not give a ratts butt:p

The best way to approach it, is an open conversation with the neighbors. We do not ride when she is riding or working with them out of respect etc. The utility quad gets used no matter what, and the horses pay no attention to it etc.

You did right by not getting off on the wrong foot, good common sense and some give and take will go along way.
