1) Putswinger up on stand.
2) Remove wheels
3) Remove bolts from rear sprocket, and remove (easier than messing with chain adjustment.
4) Remove brake caliper from mount.
--now to axle parts--
5) Loosen the large diameter locknut. Skinny nut next to the axle nut. Keep loosening it until it's about 1" close to the carrier.
6) Loosen the large axle nut. NOTE: you loosen it TOWARD the carrier. It needs to move in about 1/2" or so so you can remove the retaining clip that is currently hidden under the nut.
7) Remove retaiing clip under the axle nut
8) Now you'll have to remove the right wheel hub.
9) Slide collar, locknut, and axlenut assembly off (had to remove hub first).
10) Axle should slide right out now. If it doesnt.. put the castle nut on the threads (hub nut) with the flange facing out. Grab a 2x4 (wood), and a RUBBER mallet. Lay the 2x4 on the castle nut (castle nut protects the axle threads), and smack the wood with the rubber mallet. This should pop it loose.

That's all it should take. The axle should slide right out now.

Reverse the order for reinstallation.

I'd also invest in a clymers, or honda service manual. They are well worth the money. ;)
