The Elliptical sound is a little deeper than the round one.

Theres no horsepower difference or anything, my buddy has a round HMF slip-on and his is louder than mine. Mine is deeper, it sounds like it has more of a grunt than his. No change, it's just oval.

Will the quiet core and spark arrestor work for both the eliptical and the round one ?

I have the round one on mine and my buddy has the elliptical. I just plain dont like the sound of his. It is quieter which is good, but it just sounds wierd to me. Power output feels better from the round ones. I've ridden three now that all seem faster than the one equipped with the oval. All had the same mods.

Does anyone know how many decibels the round ones are ? I think i am going to go with a round one because i think they look better and it seems as if they run better. On the loudness factor, would it be louder or quieter then my 400ex with a HMF Slip on ?

It's certainly not a quiet pipe by any means, however if its too loud, just get the quiet insert. It is louder than my FMF Titanium-4 was.

i definately know its not a quiet pipe, i have one for my 400ex. I was just wondering if its about the same as far as noise or what ?
