piston pin

I blew up my quad and im taking the piston out and the piston pin wont come out.....its stuck inside the piston and now i cant take the piston off the rod...i tried to tap it out with a hammer and a screwdriver but it wont work...any ideas?

yes i do...i also sprayed it down with wd-40

it has to be press in order to remove it

I think you can make a puller out of a peice of all thread and some washers.

make sure you take the circlips out...:eek2:

yes, make sure the clips are out. i have seen people use a hammer and a socket before. just watch the rod. you don't want to beat it around.

Yep, a socket worked for me. You don't need much to get it out, just a couple of taps. If that doesn't do it investigate for other problems.
