Shifter Bolt

on my 250ex, the ****er bent while riding, and i cant get the mother off. the screw just keep turning, can ANYONE help with this damn screw:huh

well if you cant get it out more than likely you are gonna have to drill through the bolt andget a new shifter and a bolt...just dont weld it on there ok?;)

Okay i got the son of b*itch of, but now i am putting a new stock shifter on. i didnt do this yet, but what happens if the thing the shifter goes, on is striped?

that could be bad..if the splines are shot it could mean you have to get a new shaft....and that aint fun

#1 you could clean up the splines on the shaft with a small triangle shaped file.

#2 you could just tack weld the shifter to the shaft once its installed at the correct angle.

#3 replace the shaft...............no fun like he ^ said.
