So, I've been ridin quads for a good 5 years or so. Yesterday, I purchased My first 2 stroke. And ohhhh man....it's nice! The power is so awesome. I bought an '88 250r with a 330 ESR PV. It took some gettin used to, but i'm gettin the hang of it. I need to totally relearn how to wheelie :p . The first time I really tried, I ended up draggin the bar!

Haha, going from 4-stroke to 2 stroke is sure awesome

Nice R, but ditch those 400ex plastics:o You made the right choice switching to a 2 stroke.

Yeah man, those 400EX plastics are sorta lame. It would be kind of neat if you could get the new 400EX (450R) plastics on there, but it wouldn't really be anything I'd want on my own bike. The original plastics, IMO, are the best, most stylish plastics ever put onto a quad.

Here's something for you to try after riding that R around for a while: throw a leg over a four stroke again. I think you'll find the power of any four stroke comparable to a kiddie quad :D

I used to think the 450's were so bad before I rode an R, but now after riding mine for so long I can't even stand to ride a four stroke for more than ten minutes. It just doesn't have that manly hit of power! A good analogy is that a four stroke is a big truck with lots of low end stump pulling power while a two stroke is like a sports car, meant to be driven without letting the pedal up for a wink.

About the wheelies, I think after you get used to it and know when to nail it to get the wheels up, you'll find it pretty easy to get em' up even in 4th and 5th. That's something I could never do on my 400EX, but now I can go down to the runway down the street and ride a wheelie for as long as I have the balls to.

nice buy man, you deff. went the right way instead of the boring 4stroke power. there's nothin like fire up the engine and smelling the gas burn on a 2stroke and theres nothing like 2stroke power, I say ditch the 400ex plastic too but if you like thats what matters
