the stroke piston has the wrist pin hole moved up 2mm to keep the piston from hitting the valves. TC racing makes a 2mm shorter rod to be used with a stroker crank so you can use any piston you want instead of the special pistons.

The strokers that utilize a shorter rod also require a custom piston, some of the piston skirt has to be shaved off.

I had to split my cases anyway, so I took advantage of the situation. IMO it was worth every penny. It made it a completely different machine.

FYI--mine is a 416 bore w/a +4mm stroke.

I agree, turns your quad into a whole new animal. Can you say torque monster??

Mine is a 416 bore with a +7 stroke btw

I was seriously considering GT Thunder, but ended up going w/Powroll instead.

Torque monster is an understatement. This thing pulls hard from damn near idle on up.

I love it!

LOL I concur. My old 440 big bore was laughable compared to this stroker engine. I love how you get huge torque from the longer stroke but it still revs lightning quick due to the 416 bore. The old slow-revving stroker stereotype just doesn't seem to apply

The slow revving stroker concept is outdated. Mine revs a helluva lot faster than stock.

A quick revving engine w/gobs of torque and HP, what more could someone ask for?:D

HondaBoy--

Mine's ugly right now, need new plastics.

With gaskets and all, I've got about 1400-1500 into mine. I also did my own assembly and teardown.
