How can I adjust my 300ex for my weight? I heard you could for a better ride?

Do you have aftermarket shocks? If not, I don't think 300ex shocks have any adjustments.:(

is the suspension to soft or to hard? if it to soft then turn the bottom of the clockwise. there are 5 settings. on the rear turn the top of the shock clockwise also. do the oppisite for being to hard.

300ex shocks are preload adjustable only.

Depending on weight/riding style/preference you can adjust the preload. But that being said, 300ex stock shocks bite the big one.

Works shocks or Elka rec series are perfect for trails. Depends on your budget.

To adjust for rider weight; pull the grab bar up until the back tires are almost off the ground, have a buddy measure the height from ground to grab bar. Then in full gear, set on the bike, have same buddy measure from ground to grab bar again. The difference should be 30% of your first ground to grab bar measurement. Soften or stiffen rear suspension to achieve 30%. Quad4 magazine just had a great article on this and front suspension adjustment.

Good luck!
