engine noise?

I have an 04 450r and it sounds noisy around the clutch/kickstart area at low RPM,s. Is some noise normal?

not sure on the spell but ya thats what its doing.. if its only doing it while the clutch is engaged.. if u lug it it will do that.. orrr if your running low octane fuel in it.. i recomend 93 octane.. its what i runs in my 650 i had the same problem.. but the fuel will stirghten it up.. or it should.. jus bad fuel or lugin the motor.. its nuttin outta the ordiany

Dang John how many quads do you have?

My 300 used to rattle some at idle unless I added a bit of race fuel
to the gas.

It is just one i will be selling once it is sorted out. The engine noise is more from the gearbox rather than the topend.
