any body knows waths the size of the nut that olds the clutch basket in place?? and the socket size too.

15mm is what the exploded view on yamahaoftroy.com says.

I know it says yamahaoftroy but they have exploded views of almost everything honda, yamaha, and suzuki. check their site out for anything else sorry don't know what the socket size will be though!

I was thinking 27mm for some reason [shrug]. The description of nuts/bolts on parts fiche usually indicate thread size, NOT the size socket needed.

Yea, the socket size is 27mm. Thread size is 18mm according to the bin label on the new one I have here, P/N 90236-HA0-000.

It's a specialty lock nut, there's a flange on it that needs to be staked to the crankshaft. Don't think you'll find the same thing at the hardware store.

I just did this....I used a 1- 1/16th socket.

Yep. 1 1/16" = 27 mm
