i saw a commercial for something similar....but its like a quick-pay at a gas station, you just touch your finger to the pad and it instantly pays out of your checking account. seems like it would save alot of time instead of having to whipout the debit card and swipe it, and put in your pin code

I work in the field of information security/forensics. There is actually a way to fool finger print scanners. A guy at our security conference fooled one with a large gummy bear. Don't know all the details, but I thought that I would add that in...

I have a fingerprint reader in my keyboard. I had to buy the keyboard directly from microsoft's website. Let me just say, this thing is kick ***!! I never have to remember any of my passwords when i'm at home. That's all you have to do is type them in once at a certain website, and the software remembers them. I highly recommend the fingerprint reader!!!!

I have a fingerprint scanner on my work laptop. It is a nice feature especialy when combined with a good software package or internal TPM system. Plus now I do not have to remember a ton of different passwords.:)

The password stuff is for secure systems at work. On my home PC your right, I don't use passwords very often.
