rear brake trouble!

ok so i took off my worn out rear pads, ordered some new ones, and while i was waiting for them to come in, i rode it a few times without the pads. i put the new pads on(i had to work to depress the piston) and now they aren't even grabbing. did i do something wrong? help please!

Sounds like you need to bleed em, if so when you push the brake down and it goes all the way down, you know you need to bleed em.

wut does that mean and how do you do that. do you do that if the rear brake locks too
