Alright i just got my truck and i would like to throw my quad in the back. The thing is that it is pretty tall. Had to get a 14" drop hitch for a trailor. So what should i do to get it in the back? ive got one of the ramps but its would be way to steep.

heres a pic, not a very good pic. i think it looks smaller in the picture

Looks like you need some folding ramps or back up to a ditch everytime so it isn't as steep.

EDIT: That's a pretty nice truck for a only being 16. DONT WRECK!!

back it up to a step incline. you could also extend your current ramps.

theres a HUUUUUUUUGE truck like yours in the town next to mine...he has a dirtbike and i have no idea how he gets it up there...i imagine its a multi-section folding ramp..idk how strong that would be but SWEET TRUCK!

lol thxx... technically it is my dads, but i get to drive it to school go to the dunes and all the jazz.

im sure there will be some people that say hey ur a spoiled kid and whatever so i just wanted to state that it is actually my dads truck. and it will be mine once i go off to collage.

thxx for the ideas guys, looks like imma need to build some custom ramps or something, lol.

just make some longer loading ramps. THey will be weaker than regular one but it's better than anything else.

One of my riding buddies has a truck like that its an f250 with an 8" lift and 37's to get his quad in the back we set it on the grab bar and roll it so the front tires are on the tailgate, then you just lift the quad from the grab bar or tires into the the back of the truck. It isnt very hard to lift it in there b4 you go riding but after your done riding its a pain. Or you could just get some longer ramps.

lol i bet it is a paint after a long day of riding hard at the dunes... it takes alot out of you. can he load it by himself? or it take like 2 guys.

sounds like his about the same height as ours, not sure exactly on the size of the lift. by its got 38" tires

A family friend had a truck that had at least about a 10" lift with 42" tires that use to ust aluminum ramps he brought from a store and he use to drive his quad in without backing up to a hill. It was scary to watch and the slope was extremely steep!!

i put my quad up on the grab bar and roll it forward till the tires are on the tailgate. grab the back and lift it in. *extremely easy to catch the s/a and linkages so be careful of that.*

don't worry if someone says your spoiled they are just jealous!!

my buddy's truck is taller and its a steep incline. he just rips up it on his dirtbike. get some long ramps or a few friends to help load it.

Get one of those kits that lower the bed off the frame of the truck and make it sit right flat on the ground.

My dads truck doesent have a lift kit. But theres no way that I could lift my quad in there. Ramps IMO are way to scary. I Usually back up to a banking or pile of dirt and drive it in.

But looking at your driveway. If you stop at the botom then put the rams from the top it may be a lesser angle.

gas it is
magnaflow exhuast.

and i think ur talking about the step on the side...

when u open the door it comes up from underneath, when u shut the door it tucks back under the truck. pretty cool i think, but pops wants normal chrome nerfbars.

we bought the truck how it is from the dealer, thats why i dunno how high the lift is excatly and all the stuff.

2002 ford f-250 v10 triton
only 40k miles on it, i thought that was pretty good.
fox shocks
K&N instake
38" tires
and abunch of other stuff. i love it, cant wait to hit some mud pits :)

just use regular ramps and get plenty of speed and ride up it. just get in first gear and ride about half way up the ramp a few times till you get used to it, and then just get some room, and gas it and lean forward alittle. ive seen plenty of guys use normal size ramps with lifted trucks.

I just thought of a cool idea. Get a wheelchair ramp put into the bed.

What I've seen people do is buy 4 steel ramps (2 sets), and they then overlap one on the other, and bolt them together, it seems to be strong. I ride mine into my truck on my ghetto ramps (two 2x4's nailed together per "ramp", and I just ride it in and hope for the best. :blah:

This quick pic does not do the truck justice but up until now I have been lifting it in or finding a bank to get against. I either have to find more loading spots or get ramps-The lifting has to stop haha
