Rear bearings

i have to replace my rear axle bearings..... but im havin trouble with the lock nuts........... when im lookin at the back end of my 400ex, whick way do i need to push the wrench... push down or pull up???? and what all do i need to buy to replace my bearings... how much?

Check out this site for the bearing-seal set, pretty cheap, especially compared to Service Honda. I also have their axle nut too.
