Race Fenders

What is the reason that the stock 400EX headlights cant be used with aftermarket race fenders. I was wanting to get blue plastic for mine but dont want to loose my headlights.

just get standard blue plastic from maier, thats what i might do, or i might buy some aftermarket lights and mount them on the frame or something if i get race plastic.

The race plastic does'nt have the opening in it where the lights usually go. But if you rarely ride at night it looks awsome! Almost like a 250r

I was thinking about different plastic as well, but have your same concern about the headlights. The arrangement of the headlights is one of the things that I really admire about the 400ex, so I resolved to just hang loose until maier or somebody comes up with a nice design that does not eliminate them. Give them a call and let them know whats on yer brain. Odds are they are already working on one.
