I have a stock 05 and was wondering what gas I should be running in it? 86 , 87 , 93? Just wanted to see what everyones thoughts are, I've been running regular for a while with no noticable problems.

I run 91 in mine. That is the highest octane that we have here in Oregon though unless you run race gas. I would run your highest octane from a normal gas station.

In the owners manual in most quads, it says to run 91 octane or above. I run 93 in mine with no problems.

Ditto

My first tank was 91 from the dealer, after that I never put anything less then 93 in it.

Last time I filled up my 5 gallon can it was almost 17bux :P

I run 93 in mine with no problems at all. Any less of an octane might cause the motor to start knocking and anymore octane with a stock motor and you are just wasting your money.

it depends on where you are located. in colorado they run 85 octane in cars and here in kansas we run 87. all changes with the altitude

The higher the better.. No one should be running pump piss such as 89. These small motors are high strung and it doesnt cost that much to top off, find a local vendor of good gas, ask around at loca shops. No lower than 91 imo
