Ok im thinking about either selling my 400ex and buying a new 450r or just keeping my 400ex. Wat r the advantages and disadvantages of this? I just want to hear wat yall have to say.

Any feedback welcome. hard decision

You would have to change the oil after every ride on the R
The R would be better and faster
If you have alot of mods on your EX I would keep it.

You would have to have ALOT of mods for me to say keep the EX... the R is alot better, honestly. As far as what to get, wait around and see what you like when the Kawasaki is announced. It looks to be extremely nice, but you never know until it hits the floors.

Here is my view on this. Add up how much you got into the 400, Take into consideration of how much it is worth ( to you and real value) and then place an add in the paper, pink sheet, whatever. See if you can get more than you expected out of it, you never know, there might be someone that really wants it.

I am also in the spot your in, except I don't have an Ex. What would be better to buy for mainly aggressive trail riding and a couple hair scramble races per year? Does the 450r need as much, less, more maintenance as a two stroke mx bike? Cuz I used to have one so I can compare then better. My friends are sayin the 400ex but I am faster then them in the woods so what do think?

If your on the hunt for more power, and speed, and being with the latest hype, the 450's should be on your schedule in the near future.

what is your reasoning behind that?
