View Full Version : 2006 AWRCS Round 4 - The Patriot - Wellsville, OH Race Report

06-04-2006, 02:38 PM
We started off for the race in the rain and it stopped before we got to the track. Well for the most part the road going in was good till we reached the last little hill going into the track. We ended up getting stuck and Chuck had just left for dinner so there wasnít anyone there to pull us in so we unloaded the quad and pulled ourselves in. That was ok we got to the spot were we were going to pitch our tent and it started to mist again. The rain and wind lasted all night. When we awoke in the morning the rain had stopped and it was cloudy but the sun was trying to peek through. The sun finally came out strong during the second youth race. The track was 8 Ĺ miles long and consisted of big hills, creek crossings, straight aways, mud, mud, and more mud and ruts, and tight woods.

The next six pics were taken from under a canopy due to the rain. I didnít even think to pack the umbrella who would have thought we would have had rain there was only a 20% chance. That rain dance of Johnnyís must really work next race somebody duck tape that boys hands and feet so he canít do that dance lol. Just joking with ya Johnny. I am not sure who this is but it was on a straight grassy section at our pit.

Well the rain has finally ended so now I can go walk around. And boy are these guys muddy. With the rain it made for deep ruts everywhere.

06-04-2006, 08:00 PM
Straight stretch leading to a couple of tight turns and a small rutted out up hill.

06-04-2006, 08:02 PM

06-04-2006, 08:11 PM
Most were able to get through here without any problems but others had to struggle.

06-04-2006, 08:15 PM
small straight stretch before a big down hill.

06-04-2006, 08:18 PM

06-04-2006, 08:28 PM

06-04-2006, 08:30 PM

more before the step up

06-04-2006, 08:35 PM
some were jumping the first part of the step up and some just rolled over it

06-04-2006, 08:37 PM
this guy decided to roll over it

06-04-2006, 08:39 PM
he tried to jump it but lost a nut off of his ball joint that could have hurt if he would have gotten air.

06-04-2006, 08:43 PM
this is the second part of the step up. Some tried to jump this as well some made it and some well I bet they wished that they would have just rolled over it. Just like this guy I bet he would have wished he rolled over it. oooo that had to hurt.

06-04-2006, 08:45 PM
