I am not a Honda Guru but a 250x is a 4-stroke. I am sure some stuff is compatible with the 250r like rims.

A 250x is a totaly different quad. It's an older version of the 300ex. The only changes made was the 300ex got about 25 more cc's, and electric start. The only things that will interchange are the rims, and tires.

The 250x is a kick start 4 stroke. They are a little lighter than a 300ex, with a little less torque-- otherwise it is pretty much the same machine as a 300ex without the electric start. They are a solid bike, but not real exciting in stock form.

The front rims on an 87 250x do not match the rest of the Honda sport quads, they have the 4x110 pattern on the front, same as the rear. Other years 250x the rims do swap entirely with the Rs and EXs. Brake components are virtually the same as a 400ex, rear sprocket will interchange with the other Hondas, front hubs and spindles will fit on the Rs and EXs, rear hubs are the same as 300ex, 400ex, toolbox, and tailight are the same, otherwise it is its own animal.

Good luck.
