do all of the 05' and newer Z's and KFX's have the coolant problems?

And how long are you able to ride them before any problems or damage occur?

the problems occur even before you ride it. the coolant is still mixing with the magnesium when it is sitting still soo.....

I never even heard of this problem! I had a 2003 from the time they came out till about the end of 2005 and never had any trouble. My friend has a 2005 z400 that he got when they first came out and hasn't had any problems.

It's only the 06 and 05's that have the magnesium cluthcover, which corrodes. The 03 and 04's have an aluminum one.

correct..

just changing the coolant wont fix it, regardless of what you hear..

aluminum and magnesium in a solution together(no matter what solution) will corrode the magnesium..

you need to change from the magnesium part back to the aluminum part in the 04's and earlier..

im really suprised at kaw for such a huge metallurgical mistake and they arent standing behind the repairs..(or at least they werent last i heard..)

if you havent had problems, then you arent actually looking..

Actually, now Suzuki is stepping up and having a recall on the magnesium covers and they're replacing them with aluminum ones.
