I don't know whats wrong with it but it will puff out blue smoke when I am warming it up and when I crack it past half throttle. It also is leaking a tiny bit of oil where the top of the cylinder head bolts onto the cylinder, I think that it just a seal problem though. It also feels like it is overheating a little bit and after riding for a half an hour a white looking smoke will come out of the muffler which shows that it is hot. Please help me because I don't want to take it to the dealership and pay 200 dollars.

sounds like a blown headgasket, bad valve seals. the white smoke does not mean it is hot. white smoke is from moisture which may be coming from the blown head gasket, but not from heat. the blue smoke is oil burning, possibly by bad valve seals, or rings. the overheating is because it is running lean due to the blown head gasket.

Yup, sounds like you need a new head gasket, and your def. burning oil it sounds like. I would tear into it, and take the head off and inspect the gasket, and replace it, and think about getting new rings, or just boring it out and buying a whole new piston/rings..

Did you take the head off for any reason at all?

and is this hard to do by doing it myself? I can do routine maintenence but I've never actually tore into the motor.

we cant be "positive" without actually being there and seeing it. anything we tell you is just an educated guess based on what info you give us. a new gasket kit is about $30 or less and can be done in about 2 hours or so. i dont know your mechanical ability so cant tell you if you could do it your self. if you are mechaincally inclined it is a pretty easy and straight forward job, the hardest part is setting the timing teh first time.
