i want to beat a very fast z400 it has 19 in. holeshots, open lid kandn , full kurtis sparks pipe, jetted right, and a good rider. My 400ex has a fmf slipon, kandn, jet kit , 20 in holeshots. What will i have to do without boring to beat him?

What do you mean by beat him. Do you want to beat him in a drag race or on a course or what?

it depends on how you want to beat him. maybe try sprockets?

14 tooth front sprocket

If it is going to be a short drag race put a 14 tooth front sprocket on there if you don't want to bore it but you don't mind getting into the engine you could put a piston and a cam in it.

What year is it? If its a 99-04 you can put a 16 tooth front sprocket on there, and that will help, but you'll need the room to get it up to max speed. If its an 05-06 then you could try a 15 tooth front. Thats the easiest mod for a little more top end, but Z400's are a little faster on the top end, so just accept defeat on a drag race, and race him in the trails/ track.
