Just wasted an ECU on an 8 month old King Quad! the quad has 40 hours on it and is in showroom condition. Is this a common prob? The dealer wants $520 to fix it. I am very dissapointed to see this thing die in such a short period of time. Any suggestions or similar experiences?

Thanks,
Eric

my buddy has a 07 King Quad 450, i guess something with the wiring harness went, the dealer said that Suzuki wont be making the harness for another 4-6 weeks then a few more weeks to for delivery, install.

We were riding out on the trails and all of a sudden his died and wouldnt fire back up.

Overall there shouldn't be any problems. has your friend done the Fuel line Vent upgrade? It is very low and dirt can enter you tank and clog your injectors

Take a look at the rear left hadn side under the plastic should be a orange plastic container with tubes running to it. Pull on it until it comes out. Take the tube off and go to a hardware store and get the same size tubing. Then connect the longer tube to the orange vent container and run the new tube somwhere up front high.

I would just use some autozone special injector cleaner

had my 05' KQ to die and not start back over the last weekend. the fi indicator on the lcd screen and red fi light on top of info center blinking as well. was worried about how much $$ would take to repair.
went to the dealer and found out it was only the fuel relay under the seat. when it stopped i was getting NO fuel. 20$$ and it was fixed.

I had mine on the charger since I still have that stock KQ battery. Well it was on from 7:30p to 7:30p the next day. I was able to get the injector to come on and the display but it just buzzed when I tried to start it. So I then pull started it. I started to move and the display shut off and would flicker. I was sitting there reving it getting ready to pull some tree branches to the bottom of the yard and it shut off as I tried to move. I'm hoping it is just a sign that the stock battery has finally quit for good, and not a major Injector issue.

BTW its an 06 700
