Hey, I dont know if anyone else has done this, but instead of using wire to "safty wire" your grips, you can use fishing line. we used 12lb on my grips, because the left one was twisting, and I had no safty wire.. and I went to jack frost and rode all day on it, didnt so much as budge.. you can get it very tight, and it works good

oh yeah, there are some wierd color fishing lines you can get, we did my buddies in neon green. it looks pretty cool
