fohundyexdood127 (8:17:00 PM): 250Rs were good back in the day you know 1988? the best year they were made. the technology is better now and honda stopped making them for a reason, not becuase 250R kille people( the reason that happaned is becuase the engine was to much for the frame and the sterring) but becuase they was better things going on. a stock 400ex is equivlent to a stock 250R. ask anybody, email honda and ask Nate, he knows every thing about honda and he will tell you the 300ex/250X was the best machine they ever made. so with the mods we both have are machines are probably the same (travis's 310R to my 400ex).

not to mention boring a two stroke is totaly diffent from boring a 4 stroke. it does not give you that much power to bore a two stroke. you do get power but not like if you bore out a 4 stroke. a bore job going from a 250R to a 310 is alot weather it was fractioned or one big jump. that quad is not going to last a year. and two strokes are ove .

The 300ex isn't a bad quad to start on, because I had one before I got my Predator, but there are some things that could be better on it. decent, but certainly not the best.

on the other note, raptors are crap (sorry 660's are slow, i dunno about those new 700's, plus they vibrate more than a d**do), and should not be put in the same catagory of any 450.

400ex > Raptor 660 (my opinion)

I'm a senior this year and my brother just finished up his freshmen year, and the things his friends try to get him to believe is just amazing!!! Total B.S. like his one friends 85MPH 300ex,or his friends YZ 125 that just had a fresh rebuild so he decided to put in a racing camshaft!!, or the TTR- 125 that would eat up my 400 on a Flat Track. Last time I checked it could be a CRF 450R with about 3 Grand in mods and it still can't take corners like a fourwheeler. Just goes to show you give him a few years and alot of embarassing moments when he get his shizz-nit showed up.
