I have a shed that I use. Everything entrance wise is totally sealed and secured with the exception of my back door, and everything stays locked unless I am working in there. If they would happen to get through the back door, I have an alarm system inside. I doubt anyone is getting one of my bikes without cash. :chinese:

If they get in your garage without you knowing it, I'm sure that will have the common sense to bring a bolt cutter.

I just pull mine in the garage:ermm:

actually to cut that cable would be about 30 seconds. all we do is make it so the thieves cant get in the garage, and are toys are fine.

Mine is in my garage, and i lock my garage, i will know if someone is in my yard at night. Motion light, and everytime a cat or something walks back there, the light turns on and it lights up my room.

i would suggest running it around the frame

the swinger and nerfs, a arms and grab bar are all bolt on parts.

All they have to do is remove your bros grabber, and your swinger, and they got the most valuable end of your quad.

If you have dogs, make a pin so it's right next to where you keep your bikes. It's even better if you have a german shepard. We've had dogs all my life, and nothing has gotten stolen. Attempted, but we knew about it because of the dogs. And I even live in the Meth capital of U.S.A.

Unless you have a dog that will wait to be petted. We've had german shepards, or dogs along that line that will protect their territory.

I'm about to move into a townhouse and my biggest worry about the whole move is how to lock up my quad..Right now i'm in the country and its locked up good in a barn, but this townhouse...thats gonna be a whole different story. I can't afford a storage place right now. So yea...i'm real worried..

Man i could steal that quad along with your house in seconds lol. Mine are locked up with a heavy duty chain that chain brakers cant brake. And i have some nice guns ready for the first person to try to talk my girl:scary:

people know not to mess with my stuff around here, but we still keep 'em locked up in the garage with our dogs outside.

I have camera's on my garage....All a chain will do is keep the honest people honest...A thief will find a way to get what they want.Example i have a friend who got his quad stolen it was in his garage chained up safe right i'd think so WRONG ...They cut a f'n hole thru the back wall cut the chain and went out the front door.Only true safe thing to do is insurance on it.:)

I just don't ever stop riding. Hard to steal it from me when I am sitting on it.

if u have to, put it in gear, and take the shifter off, then unhook the clutch cable down by the engine.......most likely they will be too dumb to figure it out lol

Now here's a guy who is thinking

Someone tried to take the metal off the outside of our big shop in an attempt to get in. They took the screws out of one sheet as high as they could reach and pulled it back trying to get in. The shop had insulation and metal lining on the inside so that is as far as they got. Anyhow, had that been just a regular building taking one sheet of metal off would allow entry and enough room to get a quad or something else out. Something to think about.

Ha I work at home depot in NY, and we had a guy cut through one of those cables and self load three snow-blowers and put them all in the back of his truck and drive off in the middle of the day!!! I'm pretty sure he used an 18V sawzall. It would rip through that thing in no time.

Masterlock heavy duty cable and locks and take a wheel off. I use to be like a few others and never lock anything but a buddy of mine had his and his son's ripped off in the time he ran to the gas station to get gas for them a couple weeks ago. I missed them by a few minutes on my way home from work  And we live in the sticks too. A couple weeks before that some punks tried to steal my sons bike from the front yard and were met with a shotgun a short ways down the road, they quickly returned the bike ;) So now I've resorted to locking stuff up. Yes I have insurance on them but even with a custom policy I won't get back what I have in them.

didnt read all of the posts, but 1 way for them to cut kyrptonite cables is to heat it up with one of those little torches until it is glowing red then snap it with bolt cutters.

so make sure thats not the only thing securing it.
