any please help. I am installing the sparks timing key but cannot get my flywheel bolt loose. It keeps spinning no matter what I do. I anyone has any helpful hints I will take any. Thanks.

I tried to hit it with an air gun but that didn't do any good either.

thanks but I am stuck at getting the flywheel bolt out. The next question I will have is how do you hold it to tighten the bolt back up.

i stuff a rag into it. make sure it is in there really good. it works very well

where did you stuff it. did you leave the starter gear in. The only thing I have in right now is the flywheel the other gears are out. But even if you put the starter gear in the starter clutch gear will spin both ways won't. Let me know what you did if you can like is the rag on the right of the small gear next to the flywheel or where did you put it. Thanks if you can help.

quick question.... do i need to remove the flywheel to remove the stator?

no its bolted to the side case

sorry, don't mean to overhaul your thread but what does a stator cost with tax? Royal distributing has one for $231 with tax canadian. US dollars they sell for $224 from the dealer. I'm thinking this is a good deal. Does anyone know? thank u.

I have a complete stator I am going to sale on E-bay. I am listing it 2 night. Would you like to make me an offer. It is off a 2003, that was running with prob only 400 hrs on the bike.
