EDIT: Looks like you're cleaning it. Notice how the bottom half is cleaner than the top half. Don't know if this was the find of the century, or just the picture messing up.

I will agree with Bryan # 73 that the picture was taken from the top of a silo and it is the unloader the blows the silage down the shoot. Of course the silo is now empty.

somebody finally got it. yes, i was helping a farmer down the road from me raise the unloader so he can start filling the silo. i had to climb up the chute and hold that piece of twine to keep the unloader from spinning. if the cable untwists, that unloader is going to do some damage when it hits the ground. :p

lmao...:p i had to stand on the top rung inside the chute for over an hour because my buddy broke the winch. as you can probably imagine, there are not too many things to do in the top of a silo:p. i got bored and started playing with the camera phone. :confused:




an unloader sits on top of all the silage in the silo, and shoots the silage into the chute. as the silo emptys, the unloader ends up at the bottom of the silo. in order to refill it, the unloader has to be winched to the top. i know a of a guy around here that had the cable break before he filled the silo:devil: ended up filling the silo, and burying his unloader. had to buy a new one and wait for the silo to empty to get to it. :blah:

so why ask city boys?

that is funny business. i liked reading everyones answers. what gave it away was the long piece that goes through the center of it, once the silage gets picked up that part blows it down the chute. nice picture
