I had to modified it had too cut some of the front off to fit the Edelbrock better and replace the AAEN filter with a K&N with a UNI outer cover . I should get better air flow and enough protection for all but stream crossing. Not too may stream in the California desert and sand dunes.

So basically what you ended up buying was an ill fitting, poorly made, expensive piece of sheet metal for splash protection. Right?

So I take it you are suggesting that others try their hand at making their own form of splash protection and getting their own filter and saving a bunch of money?

I have to say the splash protector was not made to work with the Edelbrock, but other that that you are correct.

have no idea no place to ride till next fall when the desert cools off.
