whats is the point of some people putting a wet sump kit on a dry sump engine?? Would'nt the engine run hotter with out a oil resivior tank to help keep the oil cooler?

So they don`t have to use a oil tank for thier conversion.
Yes the oil will run hotter, its less than a quart of oil and requires a more frequent oil change.
With a return line going to the tank you can place an oil cooler.
I have seen some custom oil tanks holding up to 2.7 quarts of the slick stuff.
