im thinking about building a hybrid this winter.. I want to know waht i shoutld do should i use a stock 400ex frame put a yz426f motor in it and get a gusset kit or buy a aftermarket 250r frame. also what parts are entergchangable between the 250r and 400ex. thanks:D

Do you have any of the frames now? They're both going to be sweet, I personally would use the 400 because I like the plastics better. But many say the geometry of the 250r is much better.

the 250r dose have the best geometry but the 400 is also a very nice frame to use. i would also use a crf450 engine insted of a 426.

i thought about crf but im a yamaha fan... im going to see about a 250r geometry frame but i think im going to get a 400ex frame and gusset it and change the mounts

JB Racing will convert the frame for you for 450, gusset and pc it.

Check with ss440ex he sells conversion kits and oil tanks to put a yz426 in a 400ex frame

ya thats who i'm going to buy a kit from, he sent me pics and it looks very nicely made

will do i think im getting a walsh gusset kit if they make one for 400ex's
