i have a completely stock Honda 450R...While i'm riding in the woods..i notice that i'm kind of clutching alot like a 2 stroke b/c of first gear being so fast..and you can't really lug it slow or is will stall...anyone here done anything to the sproket's..if so what tooth setup are you running...or anything else i can do? and is clutching this bike not good for it?

clutching the bike is fine. thats what it is there for. now if your constantly slipping it instead of just in and out that can wear on it pretty fast.

i am a woods racer and i went down to a 13t front sprocket. for woods riding you might go to a 13t front and a 37t rear instead of a 38t. that will make it alot lower and you won't have to lug it as much.

i say just go faster and you won't have to worry about it. :p

elol.yeah i would go faster...but i constantly have to wait on my old lady....lol...but she getting better :) i'll prolly try the 13T front sproket and see how that does..i don't want to slow it down to much

i tried a 13 for a while but i didnt' like it at all. it spins the tires alot more and it seemed like i was having to shift back and forth alot more in the woods. so now i just run 14/38 which is stock and slip the clutch a little if i need to bring up the rpm's.
