Hey guys i recently have an 06ER. I bought the ER because i didn't think i could kick start the R but my buddy just got one yesterday and the first time i tried to start it i Fired it right up on the first kick. I am wanting to start racing and i was wonderin if you guys think i shoud sell my ER and get the R. I could sell my ER pretty easy if i wanted to, but i decided to wait and ask u all for some help. I have read on here about some guys havin troubles with the ER when racing. Thanks guys any help is wonderful.

I would keep the ER and ride it. If you aren't racing (and trying for the dead engine holeshot) it probably won't make much difference. The kickers are usually very easy to start. It's that one out of ten times when it isn't easy that will make you swear a few times.

I love my ER and have never had any problems since I turned the idle up a little.

I sent you a pm, but it is a small black knob on the right side of the bike towards the front. Turn it clockwise for up and vice versa. I hope this helps. Mine only stalls now for operator error! lol

It is deff not worth it to sell and buy another just to get kick start.

The money you would loose in the switch would be insane. It would be cheaper just to buy a kicker kit.

i think i found the knob for the idel, and how much do you turn it to go up, and when u turn the knob will you be able it idel faster or what?

You could buy all the kicker parts and have both the e start and kicker!

dont worry about all that SAVE AS MUCH WAIT AS YOU CAN stuff... un less your a full blown Pro-Am/Pro i wouldnt worry about it... there are even a few pro's running the ER and i run the ER and i have a full blown race bike in the A class and i havn't lost a hole shot yet... if you really want a kick start... just convert... dont sell and junk... your going to lose money
