I can'y seem to get my arms seperated from my spindle's. Any ideas, I've been trying a punch and hammer with no success!

Yeah, they can be a pain at times.

Don't use a pickle fork if someone tells you to(unless your replacing the balljoints), it will tear up the boot.

If you can, steadily pull the Balljoint out of the spindle, take a hammer, and tap the entire outer side of the spindle(the round part on the inside), do this for a while around the whole outer edge, if it's not completely "welded" to the spindle, then it will pop out after a little bit.

Yeah if you're getting new balljoints just use a pickle fork, that's what I used and they were out in a heart beat. But do as Cannondalerider said, strike the spindle with a hammer all around it and it should pop out.

Anyone try heating up the spindle so it expands and then tapping?

You'd have to be very careful on that, don't want to hurt the balljoint.

If one would happen to dmage the boot, can you just replace the boot, or do you have to replace the entire ball joint?

Yea thats what i used was a pickle fork, but i wasn't even putting the stock a-arms back on, but it did mess up one of the ball joints rubber.

If anybody sees this and ruins one of there a-arms on there 300ex i have both right & left a-arms i'll sell which ever arm you need. if you ruin a balljoint on a 300ex a-arm you have to replace the whole thing. i'll sell em cheap too.
