I think it's worth more than $4,000. I wouldn't take less than that. I'd list it for $6500 OBO and hope for $5700 to $6000.

around 4000 on the net. In my town atleast 5000. There's some people here that'll pay anything for a clean bike.

I agree, I wish I could have found a bike that nice instead of buying a stock bike a dumping the money in it.

I just talked to the guy, and he said it runs on super unlead, but it runs stronger and cooler on a mix of race gas and super unlead (50:50 ratio).
Which i have no idea about, is race gas expensive, is it something i can aquire easily?
THANKS ALOT

depends on where you get your race fuel from,, anymore its not too much worse than regular gas.. with the 12:1 you definatly want to atleast run premix

What you thinks it's worth and what you will get for it is 2 different things. There isn't much of a market for 400ex's like it used to be.

I think 4k to 4.5k is a reasonable price.

Being all done up and what not sure its nice, but there's no resale in aftermarket parts (when sold with the vehicle/machine). I think you'd be lucky to get 4500, considering you can buy a pretty darn nice 450 for that much.
Like said earlier, the 400ex has lost its edge for value from seeing what they sell for now, kind of a shame, but everyone wants the 450s I guess.

What do you mean theres no resale in aftermarket parts!!!! There certainly is. Guys sell 450s that are all done up for 15-20k all the time. I don't care if it's a 450 or a 400, if there all tricked out they will sell for a heck of alot more that any stocker. Like I said List it for $6500 obo and hope for $6000. I wouldn't take less than $5700 for it.

IMO I would never pay 12-15k for ANYTHING used, no matter what it had on it

Garett, i have a nice 416ex for you that runs on pump gas and is a strong running 416ex. I can get into details on the motor if intrested. It has walsh standard a arms, LSR swinger, LSR stem, custom subframe/battery box, hipers all around with an HMF pipe. All new PC this winter and chrome. Axis shocks all around. Looking to get 5k. The bike is mint. Just bought a quadtech seatcover for it also.
Let me know.
