ATC and TRX are they the same

my question is do the atc and trx have the same motor.

85-86 liquid cooled atc motors are pretty much the same bolt up and everything the cranks are different from the later 89 style trx motors very minor differnces from what I have heard

the atc engine has a shorter stroke than the TRX engine.

i beleive the 85-86 atc engine is the same as the 86 trx engine... 87-89 were long rods and had a couple other minor differences
