I am thinking of getting a 04-05 yfz450 and was wondering if anyone has had a problem with their decomp plug? Also if you have what plug did you put in to fix the problem? Thanks.

I bought a used '04 last spring and replaced the stock plug with one from ThumperTalk before I rode it much.

I once had a problem with that , The little part cost like 2 bucks.Ended my hole day. But now i bought the same stock one but, put cement glue around it to make shure it stays in. Also it was caused by puting to much oil in the tank.Shouldn't be a problem if you put the right amount of oil in!

doesnt the 05 have it built into the motor so you dont have to worry about it?

Yeah, you're correct. If he ends up buying an '05 he won't have to worry about it. The hole is cast over.
