I am going to buy some burgard +2 arms from my 05 450R and was wondering which is better, the 2-1 or 2-0. it is going to have the stock swinger. does the 2-1 make it turn in better or worse?

I have +1's on my 400ex and it turns like a dream, very snappy. Some say w/ +1's it may push a bit but I have not had that problem. They really seem to help keep the front wheels on the ground under hard excelaration from low speeds.

They made it turn better. I only weigh 135 in full gear and I have not had any push problem at all. With the stock front end I had push cause my front end was coming off the ground too easily.
Since i've had my shocks revalved I have not had that problem at all. I will be changing eventually to long travel so my front end will be redone, but when I do im going with +3+1 or +2+1 lobo 2 front end.

I have since replaced my top balljoints on both sides of my burgards.

so do u like ur Burgards?

The 2-1s are better on turnin and keep the frontend down better?

I am going ot get Gt Thunder to revalve my stock shocks so that is taken care of.

I am also going ot get a Geforce +4 axle for the back as well.

U REALLY CAN'T TELL TO MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IN +2+0,AND +2+1'S.MAY BE COMMING OUT OF A TURN.THEY SAY VERY FEW CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE.

I can tell bigtime +2+1 I have trouble carrying alot of speed into turns and with +2+0 i can turn alot easier .I have ridden both and i went with +2+0

bad idea if you plan on riding hard, some bikes respond super well to a +X +1 arm, the 450R is not one of them, you cant compare what someones 400ex, z400, raptor did compared to what the 450R will do due to different frame geometries

the +X +1 arms make the 450R push in the corners rather than the front hooking up and sliding the rear

i have the epic pro series that allow for some adjustment front and back, they just dont work well pushed forward

and yes, you will need extended brake lines

I've got the Burgard +2+1 arms and I've had no problems with the front end pushing... I also didn't have to get extended brake lines. .

I did replace the bottom balljoints right away with the heavy duty Ricky Stator balljoints(had to drill out the arms so they would fit). I've read to many times about people having the bottom balljoints breaking on the standard Burgards

ok now i don't know what to do. some say it will help the turn in, and some say it will make it push more. some say i need longer brake lines and some say i don't.

i think the longer wheelbase would help with keeping the front down.

Does it push on the brakes on when u are on the gas?

If it pushes on the brakes, then i could just use more rear brake to to slide the rear, it shouldn't push on the gas, since the longer wheelbase.

I ran my stock brake lines for a while then i replaced them with the steel braided.IT will push on a TRX 450 if you go +1 forward

Stock brake lines will work on +2 arms, also I would go with +x +0 if I were you. I've read about this stuff in an article that the head dude of Ishock wrote. He said that the banshee is the only quad that would really benefit from +x +1 arms. He had mathematical proof, but obviously didn't share that info.

I read that article too. I would just stay with +2 +0 arms.

I think the iShock article is what's triggered this echo accross the forums saying that the +2+1 arms have cornering issues..

If you're worried about it, get the +0, i'm sure you'd be happy with those too.

i say +2+0.... if u want a longer wheelbase which really isnt needed get a swinger... the +2+1 will push from personal experiences

+X +1 pushes more than a +X +0 all the time but most noticably in off camber corners

if you are changing the front shocks with the arms, the lowered ride height will help with the front staying planted, if that is not good enough, change your wheel base at the swinger.

khen, i have never seen that article, my advice comes from me spending many ride days at budds creek tuning my own machine
