After over 6 months of being down I finally got my R running tonight. Ihave replaced everything in the ignition system and it turns out it was only my cdi box. In the beginning I bought a cdi box from a shop that told me it was the correct one. It turns out it wasn't , so thinknig it was I replaced everthing else in the system. Then I ordered a dyna fs high performance cdi and as soon as I installed it the R started on the third kick. So make sure yo uget the correct cdi box if you ever need to buy one. Thanks for all the advice and for the wiring harness I got from a subscriber on this site. My R has an extended swingarm , 9" wheels on back , boyesen rad valve with the fiber reeds , .040 over , some sort of porting done to it , a Paul Turner exhaust , and an open airbox. It should run really good when I get it broke in tommorow.
