i have a 400ex and i have a smoke problem. Well when i start my bike up it starts smoking but after a little putting around it stops but when i do a hill climb and actually lay on it, the bike starts smoking does this mean its to rich. I have a stage 2 hotcam the lid is of my airbox and i took the spark arrester out of my stock pipe and i am running a stock filter. My main jet is a 70 and the needle notch is on the 2nd groove and the airfuel screw is 3 1/2 turns and i am running a 42 pilot jet. PLEASE HELP!!!!

im sure your main jet is bigger than a 70.if it only smoke until it warms up,could be rings or valve seals.:)

Is it cold out? If not you need a bigger jet.
