your not going to gain hp by getting a new rod possibly an 1/8 of a hourse power with the smoother bearings....i think the hot rods cranks come with bearing and their own rod, they also come in standard strength and Heavy Duty strength for those higher compressions, they also have a +4 and +7 mm stroker crank in which case you would be seeing some nice poney increases

so with my 440 kit, i could get the stroker crank and gain some hp without having to buy a new rods??

or in which case we'll say the crank comes with the rod.

on a stroker crank, the rod definately comes with, i think thats the point of a trokaer crank is a shortened rod , but i could be wrong....and with a stroker yes you will have lots more power

you may be right, otherwise it would hit the valves or even the head.....but i think you will notice much more torque as well from the longer stroke....
